Biotechnologist Pilot (12M FTC)

What you will do

• Support new and existing bioprocess execution at pilot scale across upstream and downstream processing.
• Plan daily activities and operate plant and laboratory equipment for pilot-scale work.
• Prepare batch records, data forms, and other documentation for accurate batch execution.
• Coordinate raw materials and consumables and maintain inventory, cleanliness, equipment readiness, and laboratory organisation.
• Record scientific and operational data, identify unexpected results, and communicate observations to technical colleagues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• Interest in developing a career in biotechnology, bioprocessing, or a related scientific or engineering field.
• Working toward a degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent skills in biological science, biotechnology, biochemical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate records and high-quality scientific data.
• Ability to understand numerical data, recognise anomalous results, and communicate them clearly.
• Awareness of quality, safety, cleanliness, and compliance requirements in scientific or pilot-scale environments.
