Sr. Metal Equipment Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Wuxi, China; onsite at a semiconductor wafer manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Lead equipment reliability and OEE improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.
• Develop equipment technology roadmaps, improvement strategies, technical standards, and management best practices.
• Drive factory-wide cost reduction, productivity, and operational efficiency projects.
• Lead equipment installation, troubleshooting, qualification, modification, and commissioning.
• Manage spare-parts inventory, supplier coordination, maintenance resources, and operational risks.
• Mentor and train Equipment Engineers and Technicians while providing technical leadership on complex equipment challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of semiconductor fab equipment maintenance experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with metal process equipment, especially sputtering and evaporation systems.
• Experience managing equipment projects from procurement through production ramp-up.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, inventory management, spare-parts strategy, supplier management, leadership, and project management skills.
• Good English communication and technical writing skills are required.
