Senior Workplace Engineer (File Services)

Location: Remote within Romania

What you will do

• Manage and support enterprise file services environments using CIFS/SMB and NTFS.
• Administer Active Directory permissions, file share access, groups, and directory architecture.
• Develop and improve infrastructure automation with PowerShell and Automic (UC4).
• Support file services migration, integration, and consolidation initiatives.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in complex workplace infrastructure environments.
• Identify and implement improvements to operational processes, tools, and services.

Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in file services, including CIFS/SMB, NTFS, troubleshooting, and migrations.
• Senior-level knowledge of Active Directory architecture, permissions, and group management.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience with complex script libraries and reusable modules.
• Intermediate or higher experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Automic (UC4) administration and support.
• Experience in on-premises enterprise environments and migration or system integration projects.
• Regular use of AI tools, with the ability to validate outputs, understand limitations, and take responsibility for final results.

Nice to have

• Certifications related to M365 services.
• Experience with highly customized enterprise environments and large automation frameworks.
