What you will do

• Lead the APAC Life & Health Contracts function within the Chief Underwriting Officer organization.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret traditional Life & Health reinsurance agreements.
• Ensure contractual terms reflect underwriting intent and provide recommendations on wording, deal structures, and risk trade-offs.
• Own deviation governance, contract analysis, documentation rigor, and alignment with global contracting standards.
• Lead and develop nine Contracts Specialists across multiple APAC markets.
• Drive workflow modernization and the adoption of responsible GenAI-enabled contracting practices.

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of experience in Life & Health reinsurance contracting, including substantial drafting and negotiation of reinsurance agreements.
• Legal qualification is preferred.
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to explain contractual risk trade-offs.
• Proven people leadership experience in a regulated and complex reinsurance environment.
• Decisive, commercially pragmatic leadership with the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively.
• Experience leading workflow modernization and technology-enabled change.
