Compliance Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Brazil; full-time in-office under hirify.global’s 5-day office-first model

What you will do

• Act as the subject matter expert on Brazilian financial legislation, BACEN regulations, LGPD, and payment aggregator models.
• Manage regulatory reporting, operational compliance flows, and integrations with CERC and CIP (Núclea).
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact, and ensure operational readiness.
• Manage regulatory relationships, audits, and official inquiries with Brazilian authorities and financial partners.
• Draft and maintain compliance policies, internal controls, privacy documentation, and commercial agreements.
• Oversee AML, CTF, and KYC frameworks and collaborate with global Legal and Risk teams.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Brazilian financial regulations, BACEN directives, LGPD, and payment aggregator operations.
• Hands-on experience with credit card settlement systems and receivables registrars, especially CERC and CIP (Núclea).
• Experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role at a Brazilian fintech, payment institution, or financial services provider.
• Ability to independently drive end-to-end legal, regulatory, and compliance initiatives as an individual contributor.
• Fluent Portuguese and English, written and verbal.
• Availability for full-time in-office work in Brazil under a 5-day office-first model.

Nice to have

• Active membership or qualification with the Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (OAB).
• Experience supporting licensing processes or audits with BACEN and local banking partners.
