Engineering Technician (EPG)

Location: Tainan, Taiwan; onsite cleanroom work

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, documentation, data entry, software installation, and computer programming as needed.
• Inspect received parts and audit inventory to confirm availability and identify defects.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies and components.
• Collaborate with engineering on new processes, procedures, product design, and integration.
• Train lower-level technicians, support daily production resource planning, and assist with quality issues at customer sites.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree.
• 4–7 years of semiconductor, display, comparable industry, or military experience.
• Specialized expertise in an analytical or scientific area for complex technical work.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding cleanroom environment, including extended standing, tight spaces, lifting, climbing, and use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment and operate or drive heavy machinery, including forklifts.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in multiple semiconductor manufacturing concepts and processes.
• Experience as a senior technical leader presenting projects with minimal supervision.
• People leadership experience with teams of five or more.
• ASSET or BSEET qualifications, including DeVry or TSTC programs.
• Willingness to travel to support teams.
