Contract Student Worker - Data Analyst (Fleet Operations)

Location: Seattle, WA; hybrid workplace with on-site work required at a Zoox office

Salary: $30/hour

Zoox is an autonomous ridehailing company developing fully electric, purpose-built robotaxis and fleet operations technology.

What you will do

• Analyze vehicle telemetry, service logs, dispatch data, and operational metrics to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Build and maintain live operational dashboards and recurring reports covering fleet health, downtime, safety, operator efficiency, and engineering metrics.
• Define, track, and report KPIs related to fleet performance, mission success, readiness, operational efficiency, and fleet utilization.
• Optimize queries across SQL and NoSQL data structures for rapid retrieval of historical fleet data.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams and gather feedback from fleet operators to improve internal tools.
• Ensure analytical datasets are accurate, well-structured, and reliable.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, business analytics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience working with large datasets and transforming raw data into actionable insights.
• Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and commit to an assignment of at least three months.
• Able to work on-site at a Zoox office and comply with confidentiality requirements.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with operational, logistics, or fleet-related data.
• Familiarity with Databricks or similar analytics platforms.
