Summer Associate Internship (Fraud Data Governance)

Location: Vienna, VA, United States (Hybrid); Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $38.70–$46.88 per hour

What you will do

• Support metadata management, data profiling, data quality, and system analysis for fraud data solutions.
• Analyze data to identify quality issues, trends, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Support fraud business teams with timely, accurate, and actionable data solutions.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Data Governance, Data Risk Governance, and Enterprise Technology partners.
• Document technical processes, data flows, and governance outcomes.
• Contribute to Databricks Notebooks, data quality monitoring and testing, and data validation frameworks.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology Management, MBA, or a related field.
• Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or similar programming technologies.
• Familiarity with relational databases, data warehousing, data modeling, data governance, metadata management, data quality, data lifecycles, record retention, and privacy.
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop.
