TL;DR
Internal Auditor (Technology) (Internal Audit/Risk Management): Building Canonical's internal audit function and scalable control framework across multiple corporate entities with an accent on risk-based auditing, control testing, and audit automation. Focus on designing audit infrastructure, identifying global process gaps, driving remediation to closure, and reporting actionable insights to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
Location: Remote in the Americas or EMEA time zones, with an office-based option in London, UK. International travel 2–4 times per year for company events, lasting up to two weeks.

What you will do
- Build and maintain the internal audit infrastructure, including templates, risk registers, and reporting cadences.
- Conduct end-to-end internal audits, including planning, walkthroughs, control testing, and documentation.
- Evaluate global policies and processes, identify gaps, and implement scalable improvements with process owners.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to identify elevated risks, execute audits, and drive corrective actions.
- Develop risk-based audit programs and monitor remediation through closure.
- Report risk and control effectiveness to senior leadership, the CFO, and the Audit Committee.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, technology, or another quantitative field.
- Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in an internal audit function and exposure to a multilayered global operational environment.
- Excellent academic record, strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and accountability.
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to travel internationally 2–4 times annually for company events.
