Summer Associate Internship (Risk Analyst)

What you will do

• Assist with operational risk assessments, control evaluations, and process walkthroughs.
• Analyze risk data and audit evidence to assess control effectiveness.
• Support third-party risk due diligence, issue remediation, and closure validation.
• Document workflows, risks, controls, observations, recommendations, and work papers.
• Help develop risk metrics, dashboards, reporting tools, and other risk assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other Summer Associates to identify and mitigate operational risks.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Basic understanding of business and operating environments.
• Knowledge of risk-based auditing techniques, operational risk controls, regulatory risk concepts, and applicable regulations.
• Knowledge of company policies, industry best practices, and organizational design concepts.
• Project management experience or skills.
• Availability for the 12-week program from May 2027 through August 2027, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EDT, onsite in Vienna, Virginia.
