Risk and Compliance Intern

Location: Chicago, IL; ten-week in-person internship program

Salary: $30.00–$35.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Complete, compile, and present concise summaries of findings, insights, and recommendations.
• Analyze risk, control, and operational data to create reporting, dashboards, and monitoring metrics.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of risk frameworks, controls, governance processes, and regulatory initiatives.
• Use data analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve risk management and operational efficiency.
• Partner with business, risk, and control stakeholders to identify process improvements and support enterprise risk objectives.
• Develop professional skills through project work, mentorship, and business unit engagement.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence, management information systems, business management and administration, mathematics, or computer science.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Knowledge of risk and compliance principles, with analytical, data interpretation, problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available.
