Entry Level Outside Sales Trainee (Automotive)

Location: Springfield, Illinois; classroom training in Dayton, Ohio. The role includes 80–100% overnight travel during the 12-month training program and relocation to an assigned territory after successful completion.

What you will do

• Complete a 12-month sales training program combining field-based and classroom instruction.
• Study dealership operations, sales techniques, and negotiation skills at Reynolds University.
• Work with a Sales Mentor to observe sales processes and assist with customer calls.
• Travel with customer service and installation teams to build product knowledge.
• After training, sell automotive software, marketing services, business forms, and promotional products to new and existing customers.
• Achieve designated monthly and annual sales quotas in an assigned territory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid driver’s license with fewer than two moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years.
• Strong time management, customer relationship-building, and oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel overnight 80–100% of the time during training.
• Willingness to relocate after successfully completing the training program.
