Automotive Senior Technician

Location: 793865 Vista Hacienda; on-site automotive retail service position in the United States

Salary: $23.69–$37.40 per hour under a performance-based flat-rate compensation model

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform general automotive maintenance and tire repairs to specification.
• Explain technical diagnoses and recommended repairs to customers without mechanical expertise.
• Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
• Complete paid formal training to stay current with automotive technology.

Requirements

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skills in brake and hydraulic systems, steering and suspension, alignments, general maintenance, and tire repair.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, along with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify employment.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification in at least one area from A1–A8; L1 certification is acceptable.
