Graduate Level Research Intern in Cyber Attack and Defense (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Research focused threat-detection problems and develop working prototypes for a next-generation security platform.
• Study modern adversary behavior and translate findings into detection logic.
• Build research tooling for cyber attack and defense analysis.
• Work directly with security researchers and engineers to connect academic research with production security.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, System or Network Security, or a related technical field, with expected graduation by 2028.
• Coursework, research, or project experience in cybersecurity, malware, network traffic, web or vulnerability exploitation, large-scale data analysis, or machine learning.
• Hands-on familiarity with threat hunting, malware analysis and sandboxing, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, offensive security, machine learning, or penetration testing.
• Strong proficiency in Python and strong communication and documentation skills.
• Passion for security research and an understanding of modern attacks, evasion techniques, malware behavior, MITRE ATT&CK, and cyber kill chain techniques are valued.
