Forward Deployed Engineer (API/AI Connectivity)

Salary: $192,010–$274,300 per year, plus potential equity and bonus

What you will do

• Design, build, and implement hirify.global-based solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments for enterprise customers.
• Lead implementation of API gateways, AI gateways, service mesh, developer portals, and related connectivity technologies.
• Build automation frameworks, migration tooling, custom integrations, reusable accelerators, and production-grade code.
• Drive migrations from legacy API management platforms to hirify.global.
• Develop scripts, plugins, CI/CD integrations, Kubernetes automation, and infrastructure tooling.
• Collaborate with customer and internal architecture, engineering, security, product, and success teams to solve technical challenges and influence product direction.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, professional services, site reliability engineering, or software engineering.
• Strong hands-on software engineering and implementation experience, including API gateways, API management, integrations, or distributed systems.
• Strong Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure expertise.
• Experience with automation frameworks, deployment or migration tooling, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or Lua.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or GitOps frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience in API Management, Open Source, Middleware, SaaS, or Infrastructure software companies.
• Experience working with AI connectivity, governance, platform modernization, and cloud-native transformation.
