Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; remote, hybrid, and onsite work options are available. An active Arizona Bar license is required.

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop case strategies for complex civil litigation and drive matters toward favorable results.
• Manage court appearances, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, expert work, and trial preparation.
• Independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, attorneys, and staff.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective clients and contribute to team growth.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with colleagues across the firm.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Arizona Bar license.
• 1–8 years of substantive litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation; 3+ years is preferred for this position.
• Ability to manage deadlines, written work, discovery, and a full litigation caseload independently.
• Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Insurance defense experience.
• Experience with general liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, premises liability, professional liability, bad faith, employment, or other complex civil litigation.
