Automotive Technician (Automotive)

Location: Mansfield, United States; on-site automotive service role

Salary: $16.63–$24.99 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install vehicle parts.
• Road test vehicles and assist with vehicle assessments and repairs.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and answer service questions.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform automotive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment requires completion of Form I-9 verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.
• Obtain or maintain an ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area within the first two years of employment.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Vocational-technical training in automotive repair.
• ASE certification or equivalent external training credentials.
