Laboratory Operations Scientist (Life Sciences)

Location: Rensselaer, NY, USA; on-site laboratory work across multiple nearby sites

Salary: $22.50–$23.50 per hour

Provides analytical testing services for pharmaceutical, medical device, food, cosmetic, and consumer products industries through an international laboratory network.

What you will do

• Maintain laboratory supplies, reagent inventories, media preparation, and organized, labeled laboratory spaces.
• Safely handle and move compressed gases, cryogenic liquids, and potent chemical compounds.
• Clean and monitor temperature-controlled units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets.
• Use electronic systems to track equipment maintenance, calibration status, and cross-department workflows.
• Manage paper laboratory notebooks and logbooks while completing documentation according to Good Documentation Practices.
• Coordinate recurring equipment maintenance and calibrations across multiple laboratory sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Ability to commute independently between nearby site locations less than five miles apart.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or more, stand and walk for extended periods, push or pull carts and equipment, and bend or reach for supplies.
• Ability to learn processes, manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
