Lab Assistant (Life Sciences)

Location: Minneapolis, MN, United States; onsite. Must have United States work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.

What you will do

• Support Protein Sciences laboratory operations, including labware collection, washing, sterilization, and preparation.
• Operate and maintain autoclaves, labware washers, and other laboratory processing equipment.
• Harvest and concentrate conditioned cell culture media and prepare materials for protein purification and cGMP production.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on the chlorine dioxide gas sterilization room.
• Prepare solutions, media, and plates; maintain inventory; and organize and unpack materials.
• Handle biohazardous waste, maintain laboratory documentation, and support equipment calibration, validation, and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with computer entry or typing skills.
• Knowledge of general laboratory equipment and centrifuges, as well as laboratory safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking accurately.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work standard business hours from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., stand or sit for extended periods, handle laboratory equipment manually, and lift up to 40 lbs.
