Process Technician, Electrochemical

Location: Billerica, Massachusetts, United States; onsite cleanroom and laboratory work

What you will do

• Prepare wafers, clean reactors, and set up equipment for experiments.
• Operate reactors for thin-film processes under limited supervision.
• Prepare cross-section samples and perform scanning electron microscope analysis and imaging, including CD and EDS analysis.
• Record process conditions and experimental observations, evaluate wafers and thin films, and prepare graphs and tables.
• Perform SEM software alignment, routine maintenance, flash and plasma cleaning, shutdown procedures, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with requestors, vendors, purchasing, and repair teams while monitoring work-in-process and throughput.

Requirements

• Technical diploma.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of scanning electron microscope principles and image quality requirements.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom using required personal protective equipment and to handle hand and power tools.
• Ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, climb, work at height, and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work with electricity and potentially high-noise environments.
