Mixing Technician / Chemical Operator (Chemicals)

What you will do

• Safely and efficiently mix batches of chemical materials by adding raw materials to mixing pots.
• Handle hazardous raw materials and products according to required precautions.
• Monitor process conditions and equipment during production.
• Follow quality and safety systems and standards.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Work second or third shifts, with moderate overtime during the week and occasional Saturdays.

Requirements

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience as a chemical operator in a manufacturing environment or clean room.
• Ability to work with glues, solvents, and chemicals.
• Ability to work in a restricted, electrically classified area containing flammable and combustible materials.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read simple work instructions, engineering drawings, and company policies; perform basic addition and subtraction; and maintain attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Fork truck operating experience.
