Staff Fullstack Engineer, Post Order Experience (AI) (Kotlin/React/TypeScript): Building scalable backend services, APIs, databases, and Server-Driven UI capabilities for post-order customer experiences and personalization with an accent on distributed systems, event-driven architecture, reliability, and performance. Focus on leading architectural decisions, designing resilient revenue-critical infrastructure, and mentoring engineers while applying generative AI to improve engineering output.
Location: Engineering Latam; remote

What you will do
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and APIs powering personalization and post-order experiences.
- Drive architectural improvements for reliability, scalability, maintainability, performance, and resilience.
- Develop and maintain the Server-Driven UI service within the Backend-for-Frontend architecture, backend services, and databases.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Design, Customer Experience, Operations, and Engineering teams to build tailored customer journeys.
- Lead technical planning and execution while breaking complex problems into actionable solutions.
- Mentor engineers, set technical standards, and contribute hands-on with clean, tested, efficient code.
Requirements
- 8+ years of fullstack or backend software development experience.
- Expertise in React, Kotlin, TypeScript, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience architecting and scaling complex backend systems in high-growth environments.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, event-driven architecture, performance, and scalability.
- Advanced English communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience mentoring engineers and using generative AI to improve output quality and speed.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and other DevOps or cloud tools.
- Experience with React Native.
- Experience in the food technology sector.
