Software Test Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with an expectation of 3 days per week in the office. Positions are available in Kitchener, Toronto, Vancouver, or Winnipeg, Canada.

Salary: CAD 70,000–85,000 annual base salary, with potential additional benefits including a wellness subsidy, equity grants, and variable incentive.

What you will do

• Own and improve the team’s overall quality strategy, emphasizing quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design and write automated tests, contribute to automation frameworks, and participate in exploratory testing.
• Contribute to product code, code reviews, reliability engineering strategies, and other quality initiatives.
• Identify defects, design issues, risks, and gaps in test coverage across software development phases.
• Coach teammates on quality practices and help build a mature quality culture.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, designers, product managers, and development managers on testable features and quality planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
• Ability to find software defects and design issues, with a strong focus on quality, performance, and security.
• Coding experience with Swift, Objective-C, C#, or Java, and/or scripting skills with JavaScript, Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
• Ability to design effective automation tests and contribute to automation frameworks.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Acumen with artificial intelligence tools.
