Associate Staff Engineer - Data Engineer (dbt)

What you will do

• Develop complex data transformations and production analytics engineering workflows.
• Build and maintain dbt models, materializations, incremental models, macros, and Jinja code.
• Implement dbt testing, data quality checks, documentation, and data lineage.
• Work with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Use Claude Code or GitHub Copilot for implementation, refactoring, test generation, and code review.
• Establish standards for AI-assisted development and integrate AI into developer workflows and automation tooling.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with dbt in production environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL and complex data transformation development.
• Strong understanding of dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud, including models, materializations, testing, snapshots, seeds, sources, documentation, lineage, and packages.
• Daily, fluent use of Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot is required.
• Working understanding of LLM fundamentals, AI-assisted development standards, security and IP guardrails, and AI-driven automation tooling.
