Embedded Protective Intelligence Analyst (AI)

Location: Washington, D.C., United States; hybrid schedule with in-office work required at least two days per week. Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a planned future on-call rotation. Travel may be required up to 5%; relocation assistance is not offered.

Salary: USD 146,000–183,600 per year, depending on experience and location.

What you will do

• Monitor, collect, and analyze information to identify threats, risks, and emerging trends affecting personnel, operations, events, assets, and brand reputation.
• Conduct threat assessments and investigative research on threat actors, persons of concern, suspicious activity, and security incidents.
• Produce intelligence products, threat assessments, executive briefings, alerts, and analytical reports.
• Support executive protection, special events, travel monitoring, elevated-risk destination assessments, and other security initiatives.
• Provide rapid intelligence support for requests and critical incident response.
• Maintain intelligence records, case management systems, and analytical databases while collaborating with security, investigations, crisis management, and business operations stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Security Studies, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Intelligence Studies, Business Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in protective intelligence, threat assessment, intelligence analysis, investigations, or a related field.
• Experience conducting threat assessments and investigative research and producing high-quality analytical reports and intelligence products.
• Strong knowledge of protective intelligence principles, investigative techniques, structured threat assessment frameworks, open-source intelligence, social media analysis, public records research, and online investigations.
• Ability to communicate risk clearly, handle sensitive information discreetly, manage multiple priorities, and work with minimal supervision.
• Availability for the Washington, D.C. hybrid schedule and Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting security, intelligence, protective intelligence, trust and safety, or risk management programs in technology companies, digital-first organizations, or high-growth startup environments.
• Experience using artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to improve research, analysis, investigative workflows, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Understanding of cognitive bias and its impact on intelligence analysis and decision-making.
