Staff Engineer - Data Engineer (dbt)

What you will do

• Develop complex data transformations and production-grade analytics engineering workflows.
• Build and maintain dbt models, incremental models, macros, Jinja logic, snapshots, seeds, and sources.
• Implement dbt testing, data quality frameworks, documentation, lineage, and reusable dbt packages.
• Work with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
• Establish team standards for AI-assisted implementation, refactoring, testing, code review, and automation.
• Evaluate and integrate AI tooling, including Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, MCP servers, and AI-driven CI or code-generation workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on dbt experience in production environments.
• Strong SQL skills and experience developing complex data transformations.
• Strong understanding of dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud.
• Experience with at least one cloud data platform: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
• Daily, fluent use of Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot, plus an understanding of LLM fundamentals, AI-assisted development safeguards, and agentic automation tooling.
