Salary: $152,000–$203,000 USD for US Tier 3 locations; $164,000–$219,000 USD for US Tier 2 locations; $179,000–$238,000 USD for US Tier 1 locations

What you will do

• Design, build, and improve reliable systems processing tens of terabytes of data per day.
• Develop and optimize GCP workflows using Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GKE, and Airflow.
• Evaluate technologies and establish best-practice standards across Data Engineering and Data Platform Engineering.
• Lead cross-functional projects with Data Science, Product, Legal, Policy, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Design data abstractions with Data Science and address the evolving needs of active Data Products.
• Mentor teammates and develop engineering practices across the Data Organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of combined experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Data Science, or Data Analyst roles.
• Deep expertise in Data Engineering and Data Platform Engineering.
• Experience with cloud data tooling in GCP, AWS, or Azure, including Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Dataflow or similar technologies.
• Experience with Looker, Fivetran, Kubernetes or GKE, Airflow or Cloud Composer, and Terraform or similar technologies.
• Advanced coding skills in SQL and Python, with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience as a technical or team lead, hands-on manager, or similar engineering leadership role.
