Shipping and Receiving Lead (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Coordinate and schedule outbound loads with sales and production.
• Determine loading order, product placement, routing, and carrier dispatch instructions.
• Review shipping documents, record discrepancies, and maintain incoming and outgoing shipment records.
• Prepare paperwork and material for shipment while ensuring compliance with company and DOT procedures.
• Investigate shortages, respond to tracing and expediting requests, and communicate shipment issues to sales and administration.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and prepare operational reports as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to understand, read, and write English.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, unloading techniques, weight limitations, and company procedures.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook; basic knowledge of lumber math, grades, and species.
• Successful completion of the forklift driver licensing process and ability to frequently operate and exit a forklift and secure shipments.
• Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, identify problems, work under pressure, pass a drug test, and follow management-mandated hours.
