Network Construction Manager (Fiber Networks)

Location: Remote - Ohio; serving Ohio and parts of West Virginia with required travel to client and construction sites

Salary: $77,100–$118,600 USD annually

What you will do

• Manage construction vendors responsible for outside plant facility construction and fiber splicing.
• Coordinate permitting, right-of-way relationships, franchise agreements, encroachment permits, and building access agreements.
• Plan and implement fiber connectivity projects while managing schedules, budgets, procurement, bids, purchase orders, and project closeout.
• Design and implement commercial and carrier fiber networks, backbones, lateral builds, and customer installations in data center environments.
• Coordinate internal teams, customers, subcontractors, municipalities, jurisdictions, and engineering and construction vendors.
• Track project progress, budgets, documentation, and service orders in Salesforce and manual tracking systems.

Requirements

• At least seven years of telecommunications experience involving outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunications architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management.
• At least four years of experience with outside plant construction and management of large capital projects.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling, routing, switching, and IP protocols; ability to understand construction documents.
• Experience with email, Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Earth, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage multiple aggressive RFP, design, and construction schedules and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license required; willingness to drive, conduct on-site surveys, attend field meetings, and travel to assigned projects is required.
