Manager of Commercial Credit Underwriting Portfolio Management (Specialty Finance)

What you will do

• Manage Underwriting Portfolio Management Team Leaders supporting commercial banking portfolios.
• Oversee commercial credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring, risk analysis, counterparty reviews, and risk rating models.
• Develop and communicate underwriting policies, procedures, frameworks, and risk strategies aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory standards.
• Monitor portfolio quality, productivity, tolerance levels, concentration limits, and other risk metrics.
• Improve loan origination, risk rating, and portfolio management systems through technology, automation, and process improvements.
• Support regulatory, audit, and loan review processes by ensuring strong underwriting, policy exception identification, and credit stress analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial lending, including C&I, ABL, capital markets, underwriting, and banking practices.
• Knowledge of commercial banking policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Strong management, communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not provided.
