Plant Controls Specialist (SCADA)

What you will do

• Provide technical support for the installation, operation, and maintenance of control, measurement, and SCADA equipment.
• Test, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot engine, compressor, auxiliary, gas conditioning, and well control equipment.
• Maintain and improve PLC and DCS systems and facility monitoring and control capabilities.
• Review SCADA and measurement information, schedule maintenance, and implement modifications to improve accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.
• Perform code compliance, measurement testing, calibration, and recordkeeping activities.
• Coordinate with supervision, gas control, engineering, and other work groups and support responses to system emergencies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering technology, electronics, computer science, or a related field plus two years of related gas pipeline facilities experience; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED plus three years of related experience.
• Experience in operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas pipeline facilities.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and apply research, statistical, and mathematical methods.
• Basic computer skills for developing documents, reports, and graphics.
• Ability to perform field work involving lifting, climbing ladders, walking, bending, kneeling, and operating valves.
• Pre- and post-employment drug testing and motor vehicle record checks are required for this safety-sensitive position.
