War Reserve Equipment Mechanic (AGE) (Aerospace Ground Support Equipment)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), Ground Support Equipment (GSE), MMHE trailers, aluminum rail sets, and conveyors.
• Inspect, test, operate, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Record and track maintenance actions in ELMS, IMDS, or equivalent maintenance database systems.
• Ensure maintenance complies with technical orders, manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and government regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while working in an active flightline and industrial setting.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience as an AGE or GSE mechanic in a military or civilian aviation environment.
• Experience equivalent to USAF AFSC 2A6X2 or 2W0X1 at Journeyman or Craftsman level, or equivalent U.S. military or civilian aviation ground-support experience.
• Experience using ELMS, IMDS, or an equivalent automated maintenance database.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification under Section 608 or equivalent certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted and stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Formal USAF AGE Training Course or Munitions Systems Apprentice Course.
• WRM program or military aircraft base operations support experience.
• Certifications in heavy diesel engine repair, AC/DC electrical circuitry, or HVAC systems.
• Heavy equipment towing experience or forklift certification for equipment up to 10,000 lb. capacity.
