Finance & Accounting Intern (Summer 2027)

Pay range: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

Pierce Manufacturing, an hirify.global company, designs and builds customized fire and emergency trucks, including pumpers, aerials, tankers, and rescue units.

What you will do

• Support finance processes, operational analysis, sales and marketing analysis, and financial accounting projects.
• Assist with inventory closing, truck invoicing, truck costing, and month-end reporting.
• Review and verify vendor and customer statements and employee expense reports.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and prepare reports such as fuel tax reports.
• Create Excel files, business metrics, and analytical materials for Lean/Six Sigma projects.
• Improve processes by eliminating non-value-added work and enabling the use of technology.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week, throughout the summer.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
