Equipment Technician

What you will do

• Clean and disinfect medical equipment using approved disinfectants.
• Maintain department par levels, read inventory forms, and obtain supplies through the Stock Acquisition Process.
• Transport equipment with a pushcart and maintain the assigned work area.
• Follow hospital policies, infection control processes, safety procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions, complete daily schedules and punch-list items, and support the shift lead during staff shortages.
• Communicate professionally with hospital staff, customers, supervisors, and coworkers while working effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

• No specific education requirements.
• Completed safety and task training certification.
• Ability to read inventory forms, instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment care, cleaning compounds, and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
