Sr. Consultant, Enterprise Data Analytics (Databricks)

What you will do

• Design, build, orchestrate, and optimize end-to-end Databricks data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, storage, and refresh workflows.
• Use the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, Delta Lake, Query, Notebooks, Workflows, Jobs, and Pipelines for scalable data processing.
• Maintain data quality, integrity, currency, security, authentication, and documentation throughout the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Analytics teams and stakeholders to support Tableau and Power BI reporting and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Contribute to data management standards, code reviews, continuous improvement, and mentoring of junior developers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering and analytics.
• Advanced Databricks, Delta Lake, Lakehouse Federation, Unity Catalog, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL experience.
• Strong ETL/ELT, data ingestion, batch and streaming, complex SQL, database administration, optimization, access control, and data governance skills.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, GitHub, SDLC, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience with SSIS, SSDT for Visual Studio, Windows DOS batch jobs, and Windows Scheduler.
• Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, Agile methodologies, presentation skills, and AI tools.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science.
