PRN Medical Assistant

Location: Rockford, Illinois, United States; onsite

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and ensure clinical areas are clean and stocked.
• Review medical histories, collect updated health information, take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections and immunizations, and assist with procedures.
• Coordinate with providers, care team members, contracted laboratories, specialists, and referral partners.
• Schedule patients, manage check-in and check-out, process medical record requests, and document patient information accurately.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients according to provider instructions.
• Conduct patient outreach and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where applicable by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
