Principal Engineer, Electrical (R5909)

What you will do

• Own flight-critical avionics, circuit, and subsystem designs for the V-BAT aircraft and support equipment.
• Develop complex architectures involving power management, analog and digital circuitry, servos, microcontrollers, sensors, and radios.
• Lead the full hardware development cycle from concept, modeling, analysis, schematic capture, simulation, and prototyping through testing and validation.
• Drive PCB layout and design with ECAD engineers, optimizing for power density, EMI, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
• Harden designs for shock, vibration, radiation, high altitude, high reliability, safety, and manufacturability.
• Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, collaborate across engineering and production functions, and manage technical milestones and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of industry experience as an electrical engineer.
• Strong technical fundamentals with experience in circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, and debugging.
• Ability to lead design verification, manufacturing deployment, cross-functional reviews, and project execution.
• Demonstrated initiative, high standards, reliability, teamwork, and willingness to mentor others.
