Sr. Analyst, Technology Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Columbus, Ohio; in-office presence required two days per week on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Candidates must be within commuting distance of Columbus.

Salary: $76,000–$143,000 annually; expected starting range $76,000–$115,000.

What you will do

• Administer and support data governance platforms including Alation, Anomalo, MANTA, and Semarchy.
• Provide connector, API integration, automation, access management, monitoring, and AWS-based engineering support.
• Maintain platform stability through upgrades, proactive maintenance, production support, and environment optimization.
• Execute incident, problem, change, release, root-cause, knowledge, backup, and recovery processes.
• Implement capacity enhancements, migrations, disaster recovery planning, and business recovery testing.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, security, data governance, business teams, vendors, and platform users.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience developing and implementing integrated solutions, including testing and debugging.
• Python development, REST APIs and API integration, SQL, Git, and software development lifecycle knowledge.
• Cloud and AWS fundamentals, CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and Harness, and understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and packaged solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, system management processes, information security, and production engineering.
• Strong communication, prioritization, problem-solving, collaboration, and ownership skills.
• Employer-sponsored work authorization is not available, and the role does not qualify for the STEM OPT Extension program.

Nice to have

• Experience with Alation, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar data platforms.
• Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
• AWS, Azure, scripting, development, delivery-method, or security certifications.
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge.
