Staff Security Engineer, Product & Platform Security (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Houston, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle, United States

Salary: $190,000–$240,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Lead product and platform security initiatives across cloud products, hyperscale GPU clusters, and critical infrastructure.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, application security reviews, penetration testing, threat modeling, and architecture reviews for core services, APIs, and the Nscale Console.
• Define secure design, coding, authentication, authorization, data protection, infrastructure security, and reusable security guardrails.
• Validate, prioritize, and coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities with engineering, platform, and infrastructure teams.
• Support responsible disclosure, incident classification, root-cause analysis, documentation, and audit records.
• Track security KPIs, identify systemic risks and technical debt, and report program improvements to leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of information security experience, including substantial hands-on experience in product security, application security, platform security, or vulnerability management.
• Deep expertise in threat modeling, security architecture, vulnerability assessment, secure coding, CVSS scoring, risk quantification, and vulnerability prioritization.
• Experience embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle and coordinating remediation across multiple engineering teams.
• Experience with responsible disclosure frameworks, bug bounty programs, and multi-stakeholder vulnerability remediation.
• Experience securing GPU/HPC or cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, container security, APIs, identity and access management, and hybrid cloud architectures.
