Software Engineer - Full Stack, Product Engineering (Python/React)

Location: Hayes Valley, San Francisco, California, United States. Hybrid schedule with remote work on Monday and Friday and office attendance on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Annual base salary: $150,000–$200,000, plus potential bonuses and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Plan and execute project milestones, identify risks, and resolve delivery issues.
• Design and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performance web application architecture.
• Build backend application layers and data models using Python, GraphQL, and FastAPI.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and technical solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and keep the product technology stack current.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-stack software development experience with complex enterprise web application architecture and design patterns.
• Professional proficiency in Python and experience building intuitive, responsive, and fast web applications.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React.
• Knowledge of web development best practices and the ability to evaluate engineering and product tradeoffs.
• Ability to work in the hybrid San Francisco office schedule.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud-based services.
• Strong first-principles thinking and problem-solving skills.
