Principal Full Stack Web Developer (React/TypeScript)

Location: South Tampa, Florida — hybrid, with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote

Salary: $95,000–$245,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead architecture decisions for complex web platforms, including microservices, data pipelines, and UI/UX systems.
• Develop production-ready, test-driven software using React, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Python, and Java.
• Define technical roadmaps, delivery milestones, and requirements with program officers, product owners, customers, and technical leads.
• Mentor senior engineers, lead a medium-sized multidisciplinary team, and establish standards for code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Drive performance tuning, security hardening, operational excellence, and technical risk mitigation.
• Represent the team in program reviews, stakeholder meetings, and client demonstrations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience, including at least 2 years leading architecture decisions; 10+ years of software engineering experience is expected for the principal staff profile.
• Strong experience delivering production-grade web applications at scale and working with React, TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, Node.js/Express, Python, and Java.
• Deep knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs, OAuth, OIDC, authentication and authorization, cloud-native patterns, and CI/CD tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work in the South Tampa, Florida hybrid arrangement with 3 days on-site per week.
• Selected applicants must obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is desired and Top Secret clearance is preferred.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and managed Kubernetes services such as EKS, GKE, or AKS.
• Experience deploying on AWS, GCP, or Azure and using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with high-availability, multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
