What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop Forward Deployed Engineers delivering complex enterprise engagements across EMEA.
- Own technical discovery, solution design, implementation, launch, handover, and overall engagement quality.
- Guide the development and operation of custom agents, AI workflows, integrations, automations, and data pipelines.
- Oversee large-scale content and data migrations, including modeling, transformation, validation, cutover, and optimization.
- Advise customer engineering, IT, security, and business leaders on architecture and implementation decisions.
- Scale delivery standards, hiring and onboarding practices, quality reviews, documentation, and reusable engineering assets.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, professional services, customer engineering, software engineering, or a related hands-on technical role.
- 2+ years of experience managing, coaching, or leading engineers responsible for customer-facing technical delivery.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, or Python, with the ability to review production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, integrations, authentication, data transformation, production systems, and technical discovery.
- Strong architecture, debugging, estimation, risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and customer-outcome skills.
- Ability to balance standardization and customization while managing multiple complex enterprise engagements.
Nice to have
- Experience scaling a Forward Deployed Engineering, professional services, or customer engineering function in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Experience deploying AI agents and building AI workflows using MCP, APIs, LLM applications, prompt engineering, retrieval or RAG systems, or workflow orchestration.
- Experience with ETL or ELT workflows, schema mapping, validation scripts, and migration tooling.
- Experience influencing product roadmaps, supporting pre-sales, and creating technical delivery standards or internal tooling.
- Successful enterprise implementation experience across multiple industries or regions.
