Founding Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Berlin, Germany; relocation to Berlin is welcome. Visa sponsorship is available.

What you will do

• Lead customer conversations and translate insights into product features and technical strategy.
• Design and build full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python.
• Advance the product's AI capabilities through LLM design patterns, vector stores, and model fine-tuning.
• Transition demos and prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems.
• Shape the product direction, technical architecture, and broader company strategy.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.
• Full-stack development experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLM design patterns, vector stores, and model fine-tuning.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable products from MVP to production.
• Strong system-design skills and the ability to make appropriate trade-offs without over-engineering.
• Ability to lead customer conversations and translate feedback into product requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector databases or semantic search.
• Background in startup or early-stage environments.
