Reliability Engineer (Aerospace): Developing maintenance strategies and asset-care plans for aerospace manufacturing equipment in the Kinston plant with an accent on safety compliance, reliability, availability, and cost-effective maintenance. Focus on leading root cause analysis, predictive and preventive maintenance, asset performance measurement, refurbishment projects, and reliability improvement initiatives for composite aerostructure production assets.
Location: Kinston, North Carolina, United States; onsite 100%

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston manufactures advanced composite aerostructures and critical aircraft components, including parts for the Airbus A350 XWB.
What you will do
- Define maintenance strategies and deploy maintenance plans for new and existing production assets.
- Develop spare-parts strategies, asset-care plans, criticality assessments, and risk controls.
- Improve asset safety, reliability, technical availability, and maintenance cost performance.
- Lead reliability improvement, refurbishment, asset acquisition, and asset change projects.
- Develop performance metrics and support predictive, preventive, condition-based, reliability-centered, autonomous, and total productive maintenance practices.
- Lead technical problem solving, structured root cause analysis, recovery plans, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or two or more years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree.
- Must work onsite 100% at the Kinston facility.
- Must be a US Person under ITAR or eligible to work in the United States.
- Current US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available for this US position.
- Ability to work safely on a production floor, use required personal protective equipment, and handle tools and equipment weighing up to 30 lb/14 kg.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 5% and travel independently on short notice.
