Staff Auditor (Banking)

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $25.00–$33.00 per hour, plus eligible discretionary bonus targets of 10% cash and 10% restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Perform operational audits of departments, banking products, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Test key business-process controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Investigate issues and conduct reviews requested by the Board or management.
• Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness and formalize audit observations.
• Draft audit reports, advise management on improvements, and manage remediation of findings.
• Support continuous improvement of the Internal Audit Department and maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, computer science, or a related field.
• Banking or financial services experience.
• Experience with SOX.
• Plans to pursue a CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.
• Ability to analyze and creatively solve problems, work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Employment eligibility verification is conducted through the U.S. E-Verify program.
