Sublimation Artist I (Apparel)

Location: Hybrid role based at 14460 Varsity Brands Way, Farmers Branch, Texas, United States; regular onsite work is required for sample reviews, production collaboration, meetings, and business needs. Friday work from home is available. Candidates must be able to work from the designated location without company-sponsored relocation.

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and finalize production-ready sublimation artwork, including file setup, grading, pattern alignment, color, placement, and version control.
• Review artwork and prototypes against approved creative briefs and assess technical feasibility for sublimation production.
• Use Adobe Illustrator to create and modify vector artwork and maintain accurate production files.
• Manage multiple artwork requests, communicate project status and risks, and meet production deadlines.
• Collaborate with designers, pattern makers, engineers, product managers, and manufacturing partners to resolve artwork and production issues.
• Support process improvement, template standardization, product development, and production-readiness initiatives.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, including vector artwork development and production-file preparation.
• Working knowledge of sublimation printing, color management, garment construction, pattern layouts, fabric characteristics, inks, and production limitations.
• Ability to troubleshoot artwork challenges, assess technical feasibility, and produce accurate production-ready files.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Associate degree in Graphic Design, Apparel Design, Digital Media, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant experience in production art, sublimation artwork, apparel graphics, print production, or a related technical design field.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing vector artwork for apparel or textile printing, including file setup, color management, placement, and pattern or panel alignment.
• Experience with standard business applications.
