Construction Intern

Location: Dallas, United States; full-time, onsite construction job-site work.

What you will do

• Support project management, superintendent, and preconstruction teams with construction administration, field engineering, field supervision, and project documentation.
• Interpret and maintain construction drawings, specifications, submittal logs, specification logs, RFI logs, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings.
• Review and expedite shop drawings and submittals, update project schedules, and use project management software.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, identify subcontract scope gaps, and assist with procurement and project closeout documentation.
• Support quality management, punch list maintenance, and compliance with OSHA and Beck safety standards, including site-specific safety orientations and inspections.

Requirements

• Current college student pursuing a construction-related or relevant degree preferred; high school students with an interest in construction may also be considered.
• Fundamental understanding of project documents.
• Willingness to learn under project management and field supervision staff and proactively identify and solve problems.
• Ability to collaborate, follow directions, manage time effectively, and complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, maintain consistent attendance, work outdoors, move equipment weighing up to 50 lb, and remain active on the job site.

Nice to have

• Previous internship experience with an architectural, engineering, or commercial construction company.
• Experience with Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, or comparable construction technologies.
• Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and construction technology.
