Senior Cloud Identity Engineer (Microsoft Entra)

Location: Remote within Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration and anchor days in Berlin or Cologne.

What you will do

• Design and scale Microsoft Entra ID Governance, including Access Reviews and automated governance processes.
• Engineer secure workload identity services covering Service Principals, certificates, secrets, and federated credentials.
• Build self-service capabilities for Service Principals, Entra Groups, and delegated administration.
• Review and optimize Azure RBAC, Entra RBAC, application permissions, Microsoft Graph permissions, and OAuth consent models.
• Develop identity monitoring and detection for expiring credentials, permission misuse, and guardrail violations using Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL.
• Support Joiner, Mover, and Leaver automation with HRIS as the identity source of truth.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience designing and automating cloud identity solutions with Microsoft Entra, Administrative Units, Entra ID Governance, Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph permissions, and Power Platform.
• Experience designing Zero Trust and Least Privilege architectures in complex cloud environments.
• Strong focus on automation, APIs, governance, and secure-by-design engineering.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and colleagues across the organization.
• Ability to work remotely from Germany and attend occasional office or anchor days in Berlin or Cologne.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex.
• Knowledge of Entra Agent ID, Identity Blueprints, Microsoft 365 Agents, or Copilot.
