What you will do

• Lead large-scale Sensor Platform initiatives covering high-throughput ingestion, pipeline scalability, continuous capture, and queue management reliability.
• Own root cause analyses and postmortems for complex production and canary issues across capture pipelines, brokers, shutdown behavior, and message broker integrations.
• Define standards for documentation, test harnesses, observability, and performance benchmarking across the sensor codebase.
• Translate latency, capture-interface, and reliability goals into technical plans and delivery milestones.
• Build tooling that improves production diagnosis, reliability, and developer experience.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to design and code reviews across experience levels.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and debugging distributed systems software.
• Deep Rust expertise in asynchronous and concurrent programming, ownership, and performance-sensitive systems design.
• Experience leading significant systems initiatives from design documentation through production deployment.
• Strong knowledge of concurrent system design, pipeline topologies, graceful shutdown, backpressure, and active queue management.
• Experience with high-performance packet capture, Linux systems programming, message queuing or broker systems, and complex production failure analysis.
• Experience applying cybersecurity practices, including secure coding, data protection, and awareness of common threats and vulnerabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with eBPF, XDP, AF_XDP, or high-speed Linux data-plane capture.
• Background in ICS/OT environments, industrial network protocols, or OT security tooling.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerized sensor deployments, or edge infrastructure.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, structured logging, or distributed tracing.
• Experience in security-focused product engineering.
