Industry Dive is a business journalism company publishing industry-focused insights and analysis across 26 publications.

What you will do

• Define coverage strategy for a new daily newsletter focused on Europe’s HR sector.
• Build a reporting beat, develop sources, pitch stories, cultivate stakeholder relationships, and pursue scoops.
• Report and write approximately five articles per week, from breaking news to in-depth analysis.
• Edit colleagues’ work and support daily newsletter operations.
• Cover industry events and occasionally lead webinars related to the beat.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant journalism experience.
• Proven experience reporting, writing, and editing news stories, preferably on labour and employment law in the UK and EU.
• Experience with digital newsletter and website publishing operations, objectives, and performance indicators.
• Ability to build a source network, take ownership of a beat, and manage ambitious reporting projects.
• Experience with substantive editing, copy editing, fact-checking, headline writing, and tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in journalism or a similar field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Existing relationships with HR executives and strong subject-matter knowledge in HR.
• Comfort with social media and audience development on major platforms.
